Sassy Life Diaries
Hello!
I first began thinking of writing a blog many years ago. This idea came to me as I posted every day (sometimes multiple times a day) on Facebook. I was married to my fourth husband, Yes I said FOURTH (but that’s a story for another day) and we had many mishaps in our life. I mean the craziest things would happen. Somehow, I always seemed to find humor in the chaos around me. I would just get on Facebook and write about what was going on in our every day life. People would comment and laugh and like my posts. Many people would comment things such as “You should write a book!” “You should be a comedian!” and many other thoughts. I didn’t necessarily find my writing humorous, but rather found I was just simply sharing what was happening and, yes, I guess it was pretty funny looking back on it now.
As my blog progresses, I hope to share with my readers what has happened in my life over the last 55 years. Some days I may talk about my childhood or teenage years. Some days I will talk about my marriages and there is enough material there to write pages and pages. Sometimes I will share the struggles and triumphs. I hope to share all of this with you in a humorous way. I have actually had some pretty awful things happen around me and looking back at it, it’s actually quite funny if you think about it. I mean it could always be worse. I am just grateful that I survived it!
The reason I chose Sassy Life Diaries as the title for my blogging site is because it describes me just right…. sassy! I am a natural born smartass. I enjoy humor and try to find the humor in even the darkest times.
So, a little about me…I am 55 years old, married with one adult daughter and 3 dogs. I recently moved back to our rural area in the Midwest. My husband is semi- retired and I will probably never retire. I never was very good at saving money, and I certainly did not plan for retirement. So, currently I work as an independent recruiter. It really is a good thing that I am an independent contractor because I have never done well when someone tells me when to work. I prefer to work when I feel like working. That may be the reason that I’m not really financially prepared for retirement.
My experiences and mishaps are often described, by others, as shenanigans. I like that word….shenanigans. I feel if a person is involved in shenanigans, then they are probably having a great time and I am sure there is humor involved! So, I hope you will come along for the ride and enjoy reading about my shenanigans and leaving a comment about your own!
Until next time, my friend!
Cindy~
